I cant speak for the Pullman area (go Cougs!) but Spokane has a great, free off-road park.

Theres a very cool 4x4 get together up north at a friends place in Ione, Wa. this weekend, but of course my Blazer is still in the one-ton conversion process. The irony is that the parts I'm waitng for to finish this project are at his place in Ione! and wont be delivered untill after this weekend. :(

Thought this was a 4x4 ACTION pics thread...
Don't see no action going on, let alone anything 4x4. :hmm:

J/K - it bites to miss an event but you'll make the next one.

VTBlazer...Nasty Rock looks like it has the right name. :metal:

Made a quick trip out to break-in the new Lock-Right front locker AND new front D60. Both worked awesome! It was too dry, too hot and too dusty but still fun. :)

AND..did both front tires spin equally? No slipping?
I ran into a few road blocks so my off road adventures are gonna have to wait...:whine:

Yes. Both spun equally. No slipping. Now I can dig FOUR equall size holes in the sand. It definitely steers different when hubs are in. I dont think I'd recomend it for wet weather street driving but HELL YEA on the trail!

John looks like you got the new 60 up and running. :metal: Have tons of fun. I stuck a lock-rite in my front 2 months ago and have only tried it in the grass, flat ground.
I'd like to try mine some day.

The 4x4 section is unbelievably slow...what gives?

Hill climb @ Rausch Creek.

Other side had a wicked off camber drop with a tree just waiting patiently.

So it rained Sunday night, which got me pumped to go wheelin' on Monday (Memorial Day). While Im making my basic pre-trip inspection I notice that both front brake hoses are "seeping" so maybe my backyard engineered brake lines wont cut it. Also I had to cut off the rear u-bolts (stretched, loose and rusted) and replace with new ones...good thing I had extras.

The real "fun" happened at the park, I lost all brakes but the left front??? I didnt lose any fluid so I'm thinking maybe proportioning valve?? Also the left front wheel wouldnt lock. Hub?? Locker?? My anger at all my mechanical problems distracted me from getting any pix. So I stopped "barely  " on the way home and clicked off some poser shots.

nice shots dude. i used to go to 7mile when i had a quad and i am one of those guys that bithed about the park. i have not been there with a 4x4 but when you are on a quad that place gets really small quick. one day i might take the truck i got when my father passed out there. not sure if i want to run it like that though.
here is my pic

Welcome to the site!! Great pic, sweet rig. :metal:
Those rear quarters look suspiciously non-Chevy. Landcruiser...?
OK by me, I appreciate the ingenuity.

Thanks, I tubed the back half and skinned it with sheet aluminum. The stock sheet metal took some serious abuse following the narrower jeeps and tube buggys so I finally just cut it off and narrowed the back by about 9" on each side.
