grinding sound

Hello,
Im hoping for some help. I have a 73 K5 that started making a grinding sound. I hear it coming from the driver side front but who knows. I inspected and repacked the bearings and changed out the brake pads(worn but not terrible). I dont know much about 4X4's so im looking for other things to check out. thanks for any help

Re: grinding sound

When do you hear the sound? Is it when your driving, braking, accelerating?

That will help to determine the source
