What options added the center console?

The original factory seats for my 72 included the seat belt holders on each seat. I've been told this means there would not have been a center console. (The original owner added a cup holder console later on.) But, that made me wonder.., what actually determined if the center console was included? I have also attached a photo of my SPID. Does that seem to line up? What else would need to be listed on the SPID in order to get the center console? Thanks, Jon.

Custom Sport Truck option would have added that. Seemingly for the 72 model year all K5's got the same bucket seats albeit with differing covers depending upon the trim level. All "sport" buck seats, no "utility" buckets as with earlier years.

Based on this, would it be correct to say that the center console would have only been present along with scroll door panels and scroll or plaid seat covers? In other words, you wouldn't expect to see the console with the "base" non-scroll seat covers (like the ones in photos) or with the standard non-scroll door panels.

Yes, that sounds correct. CST added the console together with scroll vinyl seats (or plaid) and deluxe door panels. There's no RPO solely for a console.
