Interesting truck on EBAY

1 Attachment(s)
Saw this very nice unmolested 67 4x4 on EBAY and the first thing I noticed were the tow hooks. They are factory hooks and listed on the original window sticker and mounted at an angle and on the inside of frame just like the 60-66 trucks. Ive seen this style on 67-68s before but always mounted hook out and straight on the outside of frame. By the looks of this 2 owner truck Im betting this is the way they came from the factory on this truck. Anyone else??

Re: Interesting truck on EBAY

Id pay $1200.00

Its missing the gas peddle, seat is trashed, heater hose isnt hookedup, no power steering no power brakes, It looks like any kind of maintenance has never been performed on that truck at all.
I'm sure almost everything on that truck is broken, worn out.
It is looks like the lowest budget model when it was new also

The seller probably paid $300- $500 for it and trying to make a killing reselling it to some

.

Yep its going to need some repairs and definitely some maintenance done to it...probably not the truck for you. I could have her in shape in no time tho. If you can find them that solid for 1200 Ill buy all you can get.

Sounds awesome, can you share some pics of it?

Re: Interesting truck on EBAY

I really like this truck Blazerman. At first glance I balked at the originality, thinking it had 68 front fenders and bed - then looked closer and saw they were just add on aftermarket reflectors, ha. Very original - but I'm not convinced that's the original 327. It could be, but appears to have had the intake changed out at some point (and the homemade heater bypass rigged up). The air cleaner is just a later model add-on, but it makes me wonder if it's really a later model 350. Don't know, would be worth checking the numbers if I were buying it though. If it's the original motor with just a few bolt ons, then that's pretty cool. Body in overall good condition. As for those hooks, wow, that looks kinda wacky. I personally haven't even seen any 66's angled like that (and haven't seen many 66s with hooks at all though), but since you have, yes, it could be a carryover, I agree. Wonder if it was a plant-specific mounting thing (especially since he has them on the original order here)?

K20s are getting hard to find. They aren't out there for $500 anymore unfortunately. No idea how high the seller's reserve is, but the fact that it hasn't been reached yet doesn't surprise me.

I'll bet some big shot dropped a fat stack of $10 bills and drove it off for $1,200

Let me guess here Rumpelstiltskin, you just finally woke up after all these years only to find somebody pissed in your Cherrios. I guess even in the promised land life isn't all so great all the time. I do want to compliment you on your superior vision and possible telepathy for seeing so much in this truck that I was blind to. Could I send you a picture of my truck and pay you for a true expert evaluation of it's actual condition I couldn't possibly know simply by driving it and doing all the work for 17 years? I was thinking that '67 was one of the better survivors I had seen. Same thing I thought when I paid too much for my '72 GMC
