35's on 10" wide on 4" lift
1 Attachment(s)
Currently running 35's on rallies, looking at tires to put on a 15x10 wheel. Have a 4" lift, would the 35's rub or should I go with 33's?, But would they rub also on a 10" wide rim. Basically, would the wider rim make the tire height less?
Thanks, Mike |

Rim width has no effect on tire height.

Re: 35's on 10" wide on 4" lift
I ran 33"s on a stock K5 and it would barely rub. I'd go for it with the 35"s on a 4" lift...

Re: 35's on 10" wide on 4" lift
I have 35 12.5 16.5 on my Jimmy with a 9.75 rim. The secret is backspacing. A 10 rim on 4.5 backspace should be fine. The older 3.5 is not enough and gets the tire into the hook on the front fender if the truck is twisted up much.
I used to have 15x10 Centerlines with 3 5/16 backspacing and they worked but not as well as the current setup. 17x9 with 4 or 4.5 might be the way to go. We are contemplating wheel size for my kids Jimmy project. It has 8.5 8 lug 10 bolt in the front and semi-float 8 lug 14 bolt in rear so 15s wont clear the brakes. And the 17x10 rim is virtually un-obtanium. So tentative plan is 17x9 with 4.5 backspace running 315 70 17 which are slightly shorter but significantly cheaper than 35 12.5 17 depending on tire. |

I purchased this wheel and rouge after watching a video of the guys polishing their big rig alcoas. Have the Powerball, but that doesn't cut it enough, it'll probably work good on the holes. Need some rainy days in the garage to get the polishing work done. |
