Bed tweaked after bolting down?

IfHello,

I fixed my son up a pretty nice 84 4x4 for his first truck. Less than year in a guy crossed the centerline and hit him head on and totaled the truck. I bought another bare 4x4 frame and a 2wd parts truck and built a new truck. The bed on his truck that was wrecked had new arch panels in it, and was in better shape than the parts truck bed. Except for the fact that the bedside were about 6" or so out of parallel. We unbolted it from the twisted frame and that went down to about 3" out of whack. It was relatively easy to spring back by me and my dad pulling down on the high corners.

I went on and blocked and painted the bed and was happy with how it looked sitting in the shop on 4 35" swappers as a bed stand. Last night me and 7 guys picked it up and sat it on the frame and bolted it down. Now the bed looks real wavy below the body line. I really dont think it was that wavy before. Has anyone had a similar problem? If so was there any fix besides repainting it on the frame?

My guess is in the wreck it stretched the sheet metal or pulled spot welds somewhere...then when you pull it back straight your seeing the wave

That thing was TWISTED BIG TIME! Yep, it was distorted and stretched, not much to think about. Bolting to a straight frame it tried to "push" all the metal back into shape and it couldn't be done.
