1972 GMC K2500 Steering Stabilizer

I have a 1972 GMC K2500 i'm currently rebuilding and I am missing the steering end bracket for the steering stabilizer. Just wondering if anyone has used or knows if you can use the 1973 and up left tie rod with the stabilizer hole already in it?

Thanks for your time

Just to clarify, you lack the tie rod and the bolt-on bracket to the tie rod for the steering stabilizer?

I have the center portion of the tie rod but it is bent, I could possibly have it straightened but yes the only part I am really missing is the bolt on bracket that goes on the tie rod for the stabilizer. I guess the question is will the 73+ tie rods fit my front knuckles.

Thanks a lot for your time.

You bet - FWIW it shouldn't be too hard to scare up OEM correct pieces but I have no idea regarding the 73+. I've got two correct straight tie rods but not sure about the stabilizer bracket. Are you near Saskatoon?

Yes, the '73+ Dana 44 complete tie rod assembly (R tie rod end/tie rod/L tie rod end) will fit the knuckles. The tie rod itself will naturally be shorter on the later assemblies with stabilizer end in L tie rod end

Hey deadheadnm I'm in swift current about 3 hours south west of Saskatoon, how much would you want for the tie rod? Thanks for the info Special K I appreciate it. Hey Special K the tie rod I was thinking about was the left one for the 73+ that goes all the way from the left side to the right and has a single adjustment sleeve right at the right tie rod end it also has a stabilizer hole in the center.

I have the same question. I am looking for the bracket that goes on the tie rod or a tie rod that has the hole in it. I have a bracket mounted to the left side of the axle but no bracket to mount the stabilizer to the tie rod.
