1/2 & 3/4 ton 2wd

What are the differences between the 2(light duty not heavy)?
I know 3/4 has 6 lug wheels.
I would think heaver springs and rear end. Is the frame bigger?
Is the front suspension different?
Thanks

i just tore up a old 91 c2500 and i daily drive a 1990. only difference i noticed is the rear springs have a few more packs in them. rear differential is bigger. SF 14bolt compared to the 10bolt in my half ton. front suspension and front brakes LOOKED the same.

my 1/2 ton has a 3.08 gear in the back where the 3/4ton has a 3.73 same transmission, same engine

yeah and the 6 lug like you already knew

wish you would have asked me this question like 3 weeks ago, truck has already been cut up and disposed of so cant really answer that. it didnt really look thicker but didnt really pay that much attention sorry.

on the early 80s trucks i know there was no difference between the 1/2 ton and the 3/4 ton but no clue on these

There are 6lug and 8lug 3/4tons. The 6lugs are basically 1/2tons, brakes wise at least. 8 lugs are more like 1tons brake wise.
