One-piece Door Window Install Tips

About done with my frame on restore. Started to do the install of Brother's one-piece window kit. Overall I'm happy with the kit and the instructions except for how to get the window onto the sash. I tried many times installing the glass onto the sash with the seal and then dropping it all into the door but couldn't get the three regulator rollers on (one on the door and two on the sash). What a pain. I then tried the other method mentioned by Brothers and that is to install the sash onto the two rollers and one roller onto the door first without the glass and then install the glass. I then put a small sludge hammer under the regulator and used a plastic hammer to tap the top of the glass down into the sash seal. That worked really easy, sure wish I would have done that first.

I think for the passenger door I'm still going to install the glass and seal onto the sash just to get it seated, then I'll remove the glass and leave the seal in the sash. Then do what I described above.

Oh yeah, the front corner aluminum pieces. They don't look so hot out of the kit so I wet sanded them using 400, 1000, 2000, 3000, and 5000 grit paper, then polished with The Chemical Guys metal polishing liquid, then applied their sealer and butter carnauba wax. Real happy on how they ended up looking.

Sure hope this helps anyone else using this kit.
