Great news about the AC! :metal: Cheap fuel quality must be in the crapper, had more trouble this year with boiling fuel than I ever remember before. :(

Hey guys sorry for the delay.
Been busy getting ready for football and moving my older son back to Montana for college.

I have a little story,
Back in the early 90's I had a lifted 85 Chevy k10 stepside that had 15x10 Alcoa's on it. I sold the wheels to a local guy and he put them on a 72 chevy k10 for his son that he bought from the original owner. 2 years ago he (the guy I sold the wheels to) sold the truck back to the son of the original owner which is a friend of mine. he told me that the wheels were wider than he wanted and wanted to sell. so I bought them for hulk jr...
Kinda cool that 20+ years later my son has the wheels on his truck that I had on mine!

oh and I lifted the truck 4" and put 33/12.50-15 Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires!:metal:

Hey guys.
Really busy coaching 2 football teams.
But ordered custom plates and installed them on my sons truck while he was in class.
He has no idea I ordered them or they are on the truck today as I put them on during school. He won't see them until he gets out off school and football practice.

Hey guys. Been busy with getting the shop organized since I got the lift. I ordered some new Offroad parts from ORD. Front and rear shackles kits. Probably didn’t need the Bushings but got them in the kit. You can see the new anodized ones I bought and the originals on the truck
The rear shackles are getting painted before we put them on. I will post after pictures.

Hey guys. Been busy but my son pulled into th driveway a while back and when I went outside I happen to look under the truck and noticed a little puddle under the rear diff..... drove it to the shop put it on the lift. Man that lift is nice.

Well found a chunk of pinion gear laying in the bottom of the differential housing. It had road up on the ring gear and gouged the stock steel cover and put a small crack in it. I cleaned out the housing and welded up the cover and added oil so he could continue to drive it.

So since it was the only thing I have not touched when building up this truck. I ordered a new auburn posi. I had a new gear set I bought from summit for 60 bucks a year ago just for this truck. So time to get it out.

I got a bearing kit and got the ring gear and bearings on the carrier. Now just need to get the truck in the air and get it installed.

Hey guys
Just getting around to posting some picture of the rear carrier replacement.

The truck is a 1968 and after looking at the rear end carrier internals it looks like it has never been touched. No cap markings and the bearing were old school Timkin.
They were also a little loose.

You can see in the picture of the ring gear the scratches where the chuck of pinion gear was rubbing which gouged the rear cover.

In the first picture shows the chunk missing on the pinion.

The second is after multiply attempts the get the pinion depth correct. I didn't take a picture when it was completed as my hands were a mess and it was late.

The last picture is of a satin aluminum cover I got on eBay for 30 bucks!

I did have to use different bolts as the ones that came with the cover were too long.

Well guys sad day in our household as hulk jr was sent on to someone else to enjoy. We needed to get my son something for college and decided to sell the 68. Sign was on 3days. She is gone. My son was/is sad but exited about his journey as he leaves for Idaho State in just over a week. we a till have the original Hulk build going so hopefully it will be completed this winter.

Bye hulk Jr. May you bring happiness and joy to the new owners.

Last picture is my son and his little cousin the day the new owner picked up the truck.
