how did you get so far out west? arn't you usually on the east side of the us? I guess you're kinda stuck with that kinda load. I'm about 1 1/2hrs away or i would meet up for lunch. I hate driving in that area though. Be safe on your way back home if that's even possible with the nut's out there. What part of the country is the worst driving?

Dropped 15 Ski Doo's in Sierra City Ca yesterday. Their made about 2hrs from where I'm from. Our loads vary therefore destinations as well.
Worst area's to drive , everywhere...lol
Toronto Ontario traffic is the pits.
Houston Tx! Mystery how they get permits to drive.
Vehicles to watch for:
BMW drivers
Black SUV's with baby on board decals.
Audi's travel in a world of their own.
Lexus drivers are complete A holes. Because they can't afford a true luxury car.
Volkswagon products , think their driving Porches.
All RV's , their on vacation but fail to realize we get paid when the odometer's turning and were only allowed to drive for 11hrs. Thank you D.O.T..

People that travel in the passing lane that have to cut you off to exit when they could have dropped behind the truck . Rememeber when their was courtesy on the road?

Truck drivers with headsets that accelerate and decelerate accordingbtonthe conversation.

Drivers that drive slower in the middle lane , trucks are not permitted in the 3rd lane , idiots.

Drivers that have ashphalt color cars that drive without all their lights , day or night but worse when it's raining. Same goes for white cars in a snow storm without all lights on.

The conversation driver who has to look at their passenger each sentence so they'll be understood.

The luch crowd who reach over each time to grab a bite from the passenger seat.

The brake check people who think I'm really going to slow down when they jam on their brakes after cutting me off. I'm 80,000lbs they might be 4000lbs , you don't have to be a physics major to figure it out.

Young girls who drive crossed legged while on cruise.

People who wear hoodies while driving. Taught by a plow horse?

People who chase emergency vehicles.

The one's who pull the nose of their car into a parking lot and start looking a spot and never think that the rest of their car is still in traffic.

People who try to pass on the right while I'm turning right onto a single lane side road.

Accident gaukers , wish I could hide at a sceen and spray their cars with ketchup.

People who cannot drive ahead of themselves and predict traffic flow.

No , if your trying to merge onto a highway YOU must yield , not the big truck in the slow lane. Look down the road to choose a position before you try to merge.

People who drive with their hazards on. Your operating a vehicle unfit for the road or the vehicle's being driven by an unfit driver.

The only things I know around Elk Grove are Combined Driving Stables. We go to horse shows some years three or four times around there. If you'd like to see some horse-drawn vehicles, Clay Station Horsepark has room for your truck to park there. Room to turn around too. 'Course that also depends on which end of Elk Grove you are sitting on. Wilton is on the east side and if you are sitting on the west side by I-5 they're on the other side of 99. Not a whole lot else to do in a (largely) farming/retirement community.

See now if the girlfriend ever decided to come on a trip she would love to see Clay Station Horsepark. Her farm and horse and pony comes first. Thank you for the suggestion.

I see almost all of those mentioned every day coming to and from work. I work in Dallas and live about 25miles SW. I used to drive a Hyundai Sonata for the mileage, when I got moved to Dallas, I bought a 2017 Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 truck...I want meat between me and the idiots!

Elk grove is not too far from where I used to go fishing on the Sacramento River. Just north of the Sac Airport at Reigo rd and Garden Hwy. Of course this was YEARS ago, I think that area has grown quite abit since then. But that may be a bit far to go in with a load.

Rancho Seca Park is not too far to the east of there. I never had much luck with fishing there but they got boating/camping.

And if memory serves there should be a couple of golf courses between Elk Grove and SE Sacramento

Was hoping for a local car show or something like that. Walked around with the dog looking in back alleys and in peoples yards and garages.
Craigslist and internet all day as well as this , my favorite site.
Weathers great here compared to back home. Only thing is my 63's fleet is there as well and all I can do is see them on my internet connected security cams.
California and haven't seen a single 60-66. Really are they all put away for WINTER???? Lmao

Ha! I agree with you about Houston, Texas drivers being the worst. I avoid Houston as much as possible. The all drive 80 MPH and will be driving in the far left lane on 8 lane freeway and will suddenly and immeadietly blast across all 7 lanes to the right to exit off of the freeway, and of course not using any kind of lane signaling.

It bugs me seeing drivers who talk on their cellphone and/or texting. Sometimes easy to spot as the often are going much slower than traffic and often have a hard time maintaining a straight line in their lane.

What's up with people driving with ear buds in their ears? Seems like that is really unsafe>
