Driveshaft Loop install for 72 C10

1 Attachment(s)
Hi All. Just finished installing a driveshaft loop on my 72. I used 2 pieces of 1x2 steel channel to anchor the Lakewood driveshaft loop. I am running Tremec and it was located as per NHRA specs...no more than 6" from the centre of the front u-joint. It was mounted between the floor pan and the frame rails. I did need to notch the channel out to allow for clearance to eliminate any vibration coming through the frame.

Nice job! I will ask tho....is it a 1 or 2 pc shaft? My old longhorn is a 2 pc deal, & runs 2 hoops....1 , 6" from the front joint, & 1, 6" from the 2nd joint. Longhorn

It is a two piece driveshaft. The second loop is next.
