Hey guys , was a little curious about pricing on my k20, its been sitting for a while in the garage, barely drove it this summer. really hate to part with it , but curious on prices!!

Coondog, the C20s seem to be getting a much better following now than in the past. That being said, and looking at the build thread....
I would not hesitate to say it should bring high teens, if not in the 20s in the right market. I watch Mecum and Leak auctions online quite a bit. Those are realistic sales, as opposed to B.Jackson and some of the museum vehicle auctions.
The pristine 67-72 4x4s have been bringing the money.
It's insane what some buyers are paying at the auctions. Sign in and look at some of the past auctions. Keep in mind, it can cost a couple grand to sell it through them; and you have to get it there $$. But you could reach some very serious buyers . Just my 2 cents

Rust free original-ish K20s that may run but need some work are going from $4500-$12k or higher. I don't doubt your truck would do over $20k at auction or more IMO. That would be a tough one to sell IMO.

To much time, money, detail and persistence to let it go for under $40k. wait no a/c $38k. I wouldn't sell my 72 K20 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper for under $25k and it's not restored. just saying.a1

Auctions and private sellers are two very different things, don’t get too excited over what something brings at auction. A private seller will not get what an auction house gets, so unless you plan on putting the truck in Mecum or something similar you won’t see anywhere near those prices.

You are spot on Leddzepp. Another variable is the difference in the auctions. Barret J. seems unrealistic to the average person. The vehicles that cross the block there are more museum style vehicles and seem to bring a price that is hard to imagine for folks like us. Mecum or Leak seem to be more focused on everyday reality. Its very important to do your homework prior to just signing your vehicle in. The day and time it crosses block means everything. Another couple of factors to think of, is the prices. It will cost you to enter your rig, whether it sells or not. The percent is different if you put a reserve on it, versus no reserve.
Next you have to consider what it will cost you to get your vehicle to the auction.
With all this in mind, if you have a vehicle in the condition that this C 20 looks to be, one of the reputable auctions can be a decent auction. I wont endorse any particular site, but we have taken several of ours to a couple of the previously mentioned sites and hit a homerun. However i have hauled more than one back home after paying the fees and expenses, and sold them on my own. Watch the past auctions, know the good days and times and then decide if it is for you.

You know a dealer who could sell it for you on consignment?
Trying to sell anything over $10k private, you've got a very small audience. How many people have that much cash under their mattress for a toy? A dealer can offer financing.
I sold a 65 El Camino a few years ago on eBay. It was shipped to Sarasota, FL to a classic car car lot. I saw it advertised on his website for a whole lot more than I sold it for. They offer financing. It was off the website in about two weeks, I assume sold.
