74 C10 Wiper Switch
Wiper switch is a 2 speed with a push for washer pulse. Seems no difference between position 1 and position 2 speed. Is this in switch or motor?

Re: 74 C10 Wiper Switch
I agree. Although there is also the possibility of a bad connection in the wiring.
On the 1977 & older wiper motors, the switch grounds both the "low" and "high" terminals for low speed operation. It only grounds the "high" terminal for high speed operation. So a bad connection between the switch & motor in the "low" speed circuit will result in the motor running at high speed on both switch settings. |
Re: 74 C10 Wiper Switch
Update....While working on temp gauge not working correctly in the last couple of weeks, wipers would not work, yet they did 2 days before. Checked connector on switch and found I knocked it off while checking temp gauge. Reconnected switch, now wipers work as they should. Have a 2 speed wiper and parks correctly. Strange how things work....or don't work.
Guess just a bad connection with switch connector. Thanks to all the replies. |
