Reset speedometer mileage
Does anyone know how to reset speedometer mileage? Since my truck has been, for the most part, completely redone, I'd like to reset the milage.

Re: Reset speedometer mileage
Make sure you record miles if you reset. Trust me you will wish you did if you don't.

Re: Reset speedometer mileage
I was going to have my speedometer rebuilt and they told me I'd need a notary to reset the speedo

Thanks to all for the replies. From the sound of it and, from the look of what it would take to do it, I'll just leave it be.

Re: Reset speedometer mileage
I don't think mileage means much on these trucks anyway as pretty well most of them have turned over onto their second run. When I registered mine it was showing a little over 3000 and I had to tell them to put a 10 in front of that figure.

Re: Reset speedometer mileage
I cNt imagine it would matter at this point. Florida titles have a mileage exemption box to check showing it isn't the correct mileage. I'd imagine most states do. Think of it this way. If you put all new gauges in the truck you would have 0 miles. What's the difference?
