lowering a 1980 Big 10 short bed
Getting ready to lower 1980 Big 10 short bed. I think the front suspension is pretty straight forward. In the back with heavy duty rear leafs . Do i remove some springs from spring pack or get a set of normal C10 spring from a junkyard. Is the Big 10 rear leaf longer or the same as the normal rear leaf. Any help or suggestion on kits or anything would greatly be appreciated.

Not sure how low you going for. I did a rear flip with the big 10 springs, didn't change anything with the springs. On ocassion the axle has hit the frame but rarely, and hasnt hit since I put new shocks in. I think it rides really nice with the big 10 springs. Ignore the mismatched tires, going to swap them around when it warms up.

Truck looks great. Is that 4 1/2 --6 drop. That's what I'm looking at. Thanks

Its close to that, not sure what it ended up at. Front is 3" spindles and cut springs. Rear is a flip kit.

Not a short bed , big same train of thought when lowering .. Here is a picture of his 1979 Chevy C10 with a 4 - 6 drop .
