Thanks, I'm still learning, I notice the better I can see, the better my position, the better the weld! I just want all my stuff to look good all the time, I'm practicing as I go.

Heres what I'm thinking for the front!
Moving the shock to the outside lower mounting point (going to reinfoce the mount) this gives the shock room to clear the brake tab and line, and move the upper mounting point the the top of the frame. Going to try and get this done tonight!

You're doing impressive work.
If Maggie isn't impressed, you can say:

'Oh Maggie I couldn't have tried anymore...'

i agree, if that's not quality welding & fabricating, i don't know what is! welcome aboard, & great job so far :metal: looking forward to the continued progress

Re: Maggie's Custom

yes. I set it up to run a longer shock it need be. I put the shock at mid travel at ride height, but when I fully extended the shock it didn't look as if the suspension went that high. The shock has 6 1/2 inches of travel. I won't know how it works until the truck is on the road. I did the same on the front, I sent the shock and mid travel at ride height (the front shock has 5 inches of travel) I'll post pics soon!

ahh i see..when i set mine up i did it will the rear end at the lowest height so i could find out where i could fit the shock when it was fully compressed.. thats why i had to go to the trailing arms with mine cause the shocks were too long.. but the factory shocks worked out perfect for mine cause they dont limit me at all.. btw i dig your idea for the front :metal:
i need to get off my lazy ass and go do that

Yes, congrats to Maggie :)

Don't blame you at all for spending time with her instead of working on the truck.

Re: Maggie's Custom

Did moving the front shock outward cause any interference issues with your front tires at full lock?
Looks like it would have been easier to move the brake line tab?
Your work and fab skills are great!
Just wondering.

No issue at all with the steering. Moving the brake tabe would have been easy but the shock was also hitting the crossmember, I was having to put the shock in a bind in order to clear the crossmember when using the stock lower mount.
Thanks!!
Jason
