Re: Project "Blue Belle"

so my condenser sprung a leak and needs replacing asap cause houston summers are really bad. Is there a condenser that I need to buy that will be ready for my LS swap. I dont want to buy this one only to have to change it in a couple of weeks.

Made some unwanted repairs. Guys at the firehouse helped me out. Replaced my condenser and some vacuum lines. Really ready to get rid of this carburetor. Cant wait to get my new engine. Anyone know where I can get a custom wiring harness?

looking for different places to get my engine mounts for ls swap. any suggestions?

Re: Project "Blue Belle"

You don't need new engine mounts the LS will use the existing mounts so no need to spend the money for new ones.

MSD just came out with an Atomic EFI LS wiring harness system that's supposed to be 25% less wiring

Those are the mounts I am using for my swap (whenever I get around to actually starting....). You use youe existing frame mounts, but need to change the mounts on the engine side.

I also got a harness from www.fuelinjectionconnection.com for mine. Robert had me send my pedal and TAC module with the ECM to make sure everything played nice. He put a canned tune in the ECM to disable VATS, traction control and the other nannies in the factory tune, then set gear ratio and tire size for me as well. I have used his harnesses a few times now and have been really happy with the service.

that thread is the first one I had read from this site. Its what gave me the courage to do the LS swap.

bought my engine yesterday. Its coming out of a 2004 Silverado. I have the VIN from the vehicle it was coming out of and I wanted to make sure everything he told me about the engine is true. From what I know it is a 5.3L V8 with 108k. If anyone could help me verify this I would greatly appreciate it. Here is partial VIN : 1GCEC19T14EXXXXXX

If you call your local GM dealer, the last 8 (4EXXXXXX) are the digits you need.
