My 1976 chevy c10 long bed build w/ history
Well I not going to lie this is going to be more of a history than anything but it starts here It was my grandpas truck he bought it brand new in March 1976 W/ small block 350 w/Quadrajet, TH350, heavy brakes and Scottsdale package in what the RPO says is Rosedale Red (Looks like a maroon I believe O71). he used it as his work truck(on a ranch pulled trailers quite often) so because of that he put two (you read correctly) two sets of overloads on it one on the springs and one on the axle between frame this truck has hauled some weight( I remember acting like He-Man When it had a load and picking up the front end by accident) and in 99 he took the engine apart and overhauled it replaced the front pump seal on the trans somewhere along its life it had a shift kit installed and when my grandma passed on 02 it was parked now more resent last year on my 16th B-day my grandpa gave it to me to drive back and forth to school if I made it road worthy again (Deal) after tires, hoses, carb rebuild, fresh gas, and a new battery it has been back on the road for around 7 months :burnout: I have been doing little odds & ends thing to it since (between school, and other things).
I have put a heavier (454) radiator, A chrome round tube grill, updated to a 80's radial style A/C compressor, condenser, and evaporator, Kenwood 240watt CD player ,2 Kenwood 5"x7" 200 watt (dash),and 2 Kenwood 6"x9" 400 watt w/ small amp (behind seat) will get pics as soon as possible |

Re: My 1976 chevy c10 long bed build w/ history
Thanks. considering all I had to do to get it road legal was give it a tune up and change all the fluids and it passed smog I would say it is a good start

Re: My 1976 chevy c10 long bed build w/ history
did that chevy emblem come with the grill? I have a tube grill like that and I think it would look so much better with an emblem....really like your truck, no trim and rallies ;)

Re: My 1976 chevy c10 long bed build w/ history
It was on the grill when I got it but it looks to be a factory grille emblem next time I have it off I will get the part number off of the back of it It has two posts above each other about an inch apart and there is a metal tab that is bent to the shape of the grille and that uses the factory speed nuts to mount
