I've seen a few posts recently discussing bed wood finish options. This 5 year study is interesting:

Anyone used Watco Exterior Wood Finish?
Looking at this product for my Oak Bedwood getting ready to finish. If used how has it held up.
Bed will be used and outside also.

Trying to see how the finish is on a scrap piece of wood.
Thanks

If your truck is going to be outside, check out Cetol. It is a product for marine use.

I just used minwax stain and automotive clear. I just finished it so time will tell how it holds up.

watching with interest. I'm looking at redoing my bed wood. Mine sits outside 24/7 and gets used like a truck is meant to be, so whatever I do needs to be on the top end of tough.
