62 dash harness wire question

im changing out the dash harness with a AAW on my 62 c10. i removed a orange and a white wire from under and inside the steering column area. Whats that for? both wires connect to the same piece. I got distracted and dont know what wire goes on what tab. Any ideas? its not the plug that is for the turn signal switch. thnx

Does not matter which tabs you use for the brake switch. And it's "clocking" all changes if you adjust the switch.

Recently did the AAW in my '61, plus incorporating a complete LS-swap.

thanks skinny.... no clocking... just took me a bit to find the wiring diagram and figure it out. no clocking just removed and put the new wires on...

heres another question....

on my old fuse block there was a wire connected to the unfused ignition tab that ran I believe to the ignition switch. was hard to tell with the spaghetti bowl of wires going on. after the AAW harness is in, i dont see what to connect to that spot if anything? what is the unfused ignition tab for?

Maybe someone "fixing" a wiring problem by re-wiring it?

I so much extra wiring with the LS swap, I could have done a cleaner install without the AAW kit. However, it IS a good kit, and all the truck thinking is already done for you.
