2017 IOB 7" touchscreen, can it be replaced?
 

I know a lot of these newer vehicles have climate controls or something else silly that's been itegrated into the head unit.
Making head unit replacement difficult, if not impossible.
My friend has a 2017 Silverado with IOB 7" touchscreen.

Can anyone tell me if this head unit can be replaced for aftermarket without having to worry about losing vital functionality?
Or is it just an easy swapout for something like a Pioneer double-din?
