Frame Identification number

Hello everyone, can some one tell me where i can find some kind of identification number on my chevy trucks Frame? the thing is that i bought this 66 chevy truck c10 but i belive the frame is from a newer model truck and i need to know what year it was the only numbers i found on the frame were 467539 and 7 292s but i google'd it and did not come up with anything. if any one can give me a website or a different place to look i would really appreciate that. im thinking it might be around late 70's frame but need to be a hundred percent sure.

thank you all in advance.

Re: Frame Identification number

the '60's frames have a VIN on the top of the driver's side, i believe slightly back from the steering gear. post some pics of your frame, especially where the steering gear is mounted
oh and :welcome2:

Re: Frame Identification number

Just saw vin numbers on a 76 frame, right side, top of frame behind cab, under bed.
Where were the numbers stamped on the frame in question?

The vin on the 60's trucks is stamped on the drivers side top of the frame rail just forward of the motor mount. Good Luck
