Polishing chrome hubcaps
Hey guys, I took some 0000 steel wool, Vim and my wife's toothbrush (hehe) and spent 10 minutes on this hubcap for my 1959.
I think it turned out pretty good! I'll put some polish on it and detail it a bit more and should be good to go!:metal: https://goo.gl/photos/XZySVfq7qm12d8NM8 Now for the other three... they are all in the same condition. |

Bought some Autosol metal polish and finished the other three caps. Some beforehand after pictures here. I'd recommend it over 0000 steel wool.

Be careful as steel wool scratches chrome.

0000 steel wool is fine as frogs hair and I am extremely fussy about my Harley and the chrome and use 0000 steel wool on it for removing bug guts and road tar. I also use it on windshields....WOW! I would not recommend even trying steel wool unless you know which one to use and how to use it. |

Re: Polishing chrome hubcaps
Distilled white vinegar, works good. Let part soak over night, then remove rust with an old toothbrush.
