Yes, it’s an adhesive for rubber. You can get it at your local auto store.

Which 3M product would you recommend to use on the cab seals (thick ones)? I notice there is a gluey substance leftover when I removed them.

Re: Upper door seal - what type of adhesive?
I am guessing that the upper door seal is optional, since none of the 3 squares I have owned have had them. Would it help with wind noise on the highway?

Tucson the seal definitely help for the whistling sound when goin down the highway. but if you're wing window seals are not good that will cause whistling sounds too, really annoying

Re: Upper door seal - what type of adhesive?
I got mine, for good measure. But after having the vent windows rebuilt and all new seals for the door and cab, it quieted down a lot. I never got around to doing the upper seal, there really hasn’t been a need to now.

Any time there was a big management push to fix wind noise the seals got added. Immediately after that there would be a big management push for cost cutting measures and the seals would be the first to go. K |
Re: Upper door seal - what type of adhesive?
I just added them to my 90 K5. Got them from Precision. They have a metal tab at each end for a screw. They still need adhesive for the length. I had a tube of the 3m yellow stuff. Started with it. Ran out. Then went and bought some of the 3M black. Think it is called "3m superblack". The black stuff is way better than the yellow.

Re: Upper door seal - what type of adhesive?
Anyone know if the seals can be used on the rear-doors of a crewcab or Suburban?
I'd like to add them to all four if possible. Thanks, |
Re: Upper door seal - what type of adhesive?
Rock auto list one set as working all four even though it list for 87 GMC 2 door pickup truck............
