Looking for suggestions on a weatherproof electrical box
As the title says... Im looking for suggestions on a weather proof electrical box that i can mount under the body to hold Fuse, relays etc for my fuel pump as well as any aux power i run to the rear for lighting or whatever... something with a removable lid but yet will keep the salt/chemicals off those components... I used a plastic electrical conduit box similar to the picture attached on previous projects but the shape is wrong for what im trying to accomplish here..

Re: Looking for suggestions on a weatherproof electrical box
I used a box like this on most of my big trucks and it seems to hold up well. Most trailer sales places and Napa have them

Re: Looking for suggestions on a weatherproof electrical box
Bussman makes a line of fuse boxes that can hold relays, fuses and circuit breakers. Waytek wire is the cheapest place I've found them: https://www.waytekwire.com/products?pSearch=15303
There are 6 options for the different input/output configurations. Box is completely sealed. Uses mini fuses (type ATM) and the relays found in most modern vehicles (ISO 280 micro relay). |

Re: Looking for suggestions on a weatherproof electrical box
I made a mount and put mine next to the battery, attached to the fender.

Re: Looking for suggestions on a weatherproof electrical box
I haven't heard of people mounting these under vehicles before.
If you do, you'll want to mount it as high as possible with a shield in front of it to keep anything from spraying or hitting it. |

Re: Looking for suggestions on a weatherproof electrical box
We use LB fittings under the trailers that we build to transfer electrical connections through the floor (we run our wiring under the trailer in conduit and make penetrations where needed). Have never had any issues.

Here is what i usually use . https://www.waytekwire.com/item/4634...i-Fuse-Panel-/
Great product and is well sealed . Just careful when ordering pay attention to the Data sheet . this fuse box is sold in a few ways depending how you would like it configured . and Pins have to be ordered separate. |

This is a Bussman box but this guy wires it however you want it and sends it with fuses and relays installed. Everything about it is high quality. |
