FIRM 700r4 shift kit

Hey guys!

I am looking forward shift kit for a th700r4 that is firm, and quick/snappy. Hard shifts but not break a pinion gear hard. Any ideas?

Have a good one

Check out Transgo products, they can make your 700 shift better.....without pulling the trans out and rebuilding it, you can upgrade the 2/4 servo, upgrade your gov, upgrade your VB separator plate, and install the shift kit of choice.

Depends if you want to spill your hot coffee on your new shirt your momma bought ya or you just want to knock the mud off your rear wheels, many ways to achieve either one.....there are different options to get your results.

I just recently built a 700 with a transgo 2-3 kit and set it up for just below manual shift. That along with a corvette servo makes it shift very very good. The 1-2 shift bites hard. It will make you spill your coffee and kick the mud off the back tires. I would recommend this kit for a very firm shifting 700r4. This is in a 4500lb car and at low speeds can still bark the tires pretty hard.

also, if you have extra time, there is a 700R4 build thread on here that you can read which would help you out...

I did a Transgo NoYoYo kit in an 85 K10, while doing a rebuild.

I couldn’t Have been more pleased with it. It made the truck drive like a whole different animal. I will say the 1-2 shift was a little harsher than I liked on a cold startup. From what I was told, it was mainly due to the new forward band not being broken in.
