Factory 6-lug Alloy Pictures

This is a request. I'm not familiar with late model stuff, but I like some of the factory wheels on SUVs and trucks. I'd like to know what came on what in what year so I know what to look for. Please show pictures, even brochures of what you know is out there, thanks.

There may be others I like, but these are some I'd consider. I saw an '06 C1500 work truck I'm considering buying, with A.R.E. work cap... All white plain Jane. Right now it has the chrome plastic wheel covers that belong in the trash, but it shows me how the right wheels would set this dime a dozen truck I'd buy for a practical there and back work truck to last me the rest of my career. Only has 75k on it and very clean. Trying to be practical, but never owned a vehicle without some sort of cool factor. I could search, but I'd like definitive answers. Also may not be aware of all there is. Any help appreciated.

Thanks. Those aren't a bad looking wheel. I think "snowflakes" when I see those. I wonder if the general public has started calling them that yet. It's nice to see wheels that are not overstyled, as is what I have always considered most factory alloys. Never used to see any I wouldn't want to pull off ASAP.

My favorites have always been the simpler designs, like the 5 spoke 17s from '05ish trucks and Tahoes. I have a set of the first ones you posted, I picked them up at a local shop as factory takeoffs with almost no miles on them. I put them on my Tahoe and they look great. I am not a huge fan of the Continentals that came with them but I'll run them for a while. They are very, very heavy, being a cast wheel. They also took a lot of wheel weights to balance out, especially compared to the 18" Centerlines on my Silverado. The clear coat on them scratches easier than anything I have ever seen before, so beware. Imagine my surprise the first time I rotated the tires and flipped them over to see on the back of the spoke "20x9 GM China"
Yep, my factory GM 20s are Chinese. I imagine most of them are. Something to consider if that sort of thing bothers you. It doesn't bother me as much that it isn't made in the US (most of my Tahoe has "Made in Canada" on the backside of the parts)...it bothers me that they are cast in China. Maybe I'm too patriotic. For some reason they seemed "cheaper" after that.

Sorry about the long post, I realize you are looking for pics and not reviews, but figured I'd throw it out there for consideration.

Good info. It all helps. Me too on simpler designs.

I bought a tailgate support cable for my old '92 at the Chevy dealer I bought all my 67-72 parts from since early-80s and it was made in China. Very sad to see. And now I see articles titled, "How will the US deal with China as a world power?". Thanks a lot you capitalistic pigs! Selling out your fellow American's jobs to create a greater profit wasn't a concern, but didn't you selfish idiots have an ounce of foresight to see what you were creating with a nation we are less than friendly with and a communist government we have fought a war against, losing many young American men including my cousin?? Nah, that sort of thing doesn't matter to me. I'm not sure why we haven't seen them making cars to sell over here.

Tim, these are on my 2014 Tahoe. As for "made in china", the GM part package my usb came in does say that also. I was bummed. The part does work however.

buddy of mine just took these off last week, sold the whole set to a friend for $250

2012 17x7.5 OEM alloys with 6x5.5 mount and I believe late model offset..

the only two 6 luggers I own have alcoa classic II and western hurricanes, so I passed..

probably wouldn't have fit either of my trucks properly and don't need anyways..
