Truck unloaded weight?

I have to weight my 81 k20 silverado long bed for the DMV registration

It was 4840lbs at a private feed store where DMV sends you and they are supposedly certified by the DMV. Took out the spare tire and tailgate off maybe 3/8 of gas in one saddle tank.

That seems high because I weighted comming out of a dump a few weeks ago with tailgate on and spare tire laying in bed and IIRC it was 4300lbs

Anyone else know the weight of their K20

I have a small block chevy 2 door 1981 k20 long bed 35" BFGs and aluminum rims, no other extra accessories, pretty much stock 2 door cab
