How did you find that one, I have lazily been looking for a crew short bed 2wd for a while and didn't see that one???
There has been a green '00 2wd listed sporadicly locally but on the phone, the guy sounded sketchy and seemed impossible to nail him down for a time to view it, so I gave up.
He wanted $7000 for it which to me seems high.

There is one on Autotrader in CA on a lot, but I think they were asking a lot more than $7000.

FWIW, I am under the impression that GM did not build a short bed crew until '99, although I did own a '98 4x4 that was a Centurion Conversion.
I was a basic truck; 4x4, cruise, AC. I think the previous owner put in cloth seats as they didn't match too good.

I also just sold my '00 Chev SWB Crew 4x4 that was a Trailwagons Conversion.
It seemed to me that the only thing conversion about it was them dragging it through a JC Whitney catalog and adding detail" fluff".

No pictures right now, but will try to post up pictures in a few days.

But that ad says they changed the bolt pattern in 2010; that sucks!

I'm hoping that the change for 2010 applied to ALL 2500s including Suburbans. My parents just got a 2010 Suburban 2500 and it would look killer with a set of the HD 20s. I wish I had the cash for those.

I like these! If I could find a set locally I would reconsider converting mine to 5-bolt. Most of the 8 lug rims I have seen I do not like.

Looks like the 2011-12 8-lug wheels have a new bolt pattern.
(8x180mm)

I guess the 2010 and older wheels were the 8x6.5" bolt pattern.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/17-2010-Chev...#ht_500wt_1202

Kinda sucks GM change the pattern when they finally came out with cool oem 20" wheels.
They're all over ebay.

This is my 1999 Chevrolet K2500. Its loaded with tan leather and has 75,000 miles on it. Having the motor rebuilt since the it was knocking. The previous owner let it get too hot after the radiator went dry. The machine shop would use the old block cause it was so bad.

I added some Duramax PYO rims, new taillights, nerf bars, smoothie bumper and a canopy. I've also got the back seats filled with new headlights, turn signal lenses, black grill shell, and billet grill insert.

I haven't driven it yet, but hopefully it will be wrapped up be the end of the month.

Ya'll have great taste! I bought mine brand new in 2000. It's 4x4 with the 4-thirsty-4 which has encouraged me to log only about 64000 miles on it so far. I'm hoping to lift it some day....:chevy:

almost got my hands on a 6.9 ccsb for like $2500 i think. it had a shelled turbo, and was an absolute wiring nightmare, litterally nothing electrical worked. I will one day get a ccsb diesel... the illusive little bugger.

I'm jonesing for one of these trucks really bad since my family has grown. It's getting a little too tight in my extended cab. I've only seen a couple around here for sale lately and they're wanting in the 8-9k dollar range. Does that seem high to you guys?

Depends on mileage. If they're around 150k, that's about normal for here, but in a farming community, trucks bring a bit more. There's a GMC on CL here with 146k miles for almost $10,000. I'd pay that for it if we hadn't just bought an '03.

There's two I'm looking at right now. Both '99s. One has 118k miles and they're asking $8500. The other only has 90K and they want $9500. I thought they weren't that overpriced, but I've ha others tell me that's too much.

It was a centurion built truck? I've never seen a stock half ton crew in this body style.

Yes, it was a 96 Centurion 1/2 ton Z-71. It was so clean and tight! No one really knows the production numbers for these ( YES, more than 2 or 3 that some sellers claim - LMAO ) but it was a really nice conversion. I keep a look out for another one, but it seems like they all have over 200k on the clock. Not cool for an IFS truck!!

Im looking for one of these trucks also. Started the search and came accross this thread.
Looking for 1/2 or 3/4 ton 4x4 or 2wd. Prefer red interior and a diesel, but anything within 1000 miles I'll consider.

EDIT: I have a real nice truck exactly like what Im looking for, but its a long bed. I have not even looked under to see (cause I just thought about it) but how hard would it be to shorten the wheel base and through a new bed on it?

Well, like I said, I guess it depends on location. To me, I would pay that in a heartbeat. A pickup with 90k miles for $9500? That's not too bad. I mean, look at what an 03-07 crew cab with 90k miles will sell for. I realize it's not the same - different engine, interior, etc., but you're still getting a crew cab pickup with the same mileage and both have pretty proven drivetrains. Not trying to convince you one way or the other, I just look at things a little differently. I guess I should ask if they are 4x4s. That also adds to the cost. I also like this body style of pickup the best of any crew cab offering, so that adds to my wanting one. End of the day, it's your money. If it's a solid truck, you want it and are comfortable with the price, who cares what anyone says? Good luck whatever you decide!

L-71, I still wish I had the cash to buy that truck from you. So clean. And I think N2Trux used to have a custom painted Centurion 2wd. It was in the original 88-98 pic thread.
