Anyone got a picture?

Of your engine bay OEM throttle pedal linkage for a 283 with a 4bbl carb? Mine is a Rochester 4G. Swapped in a 283 from my 250 I6 2bbl and slightly modified the rod arm on the firewall pedal pivot, but it does leave the pedal in the cab really far away from the floor and sometimes the floor mounted pedal doesn’t sit over the rod coming down from the firewall pivot. I could bend that rod a bit back toward the floor/firewall but that would lessen pedal travel and not give me full travel on the carb end. Or should I just convert over to a cable linkage, will that give me full travel without a high pedal as well? I know it will probably be smoother. But there has to be an original example of a V8 with a 4bbl out there with original throttle linkage...right? If I can see one, I reckon I can fab one...

That’s the money pict, your throttle rod arm is straight....I can replicate that, thanks! I can even zoom in and see the flat part of the pedal shaft....I think...

The arm is stock. It had a 6 in it. Now a 350.

Even better! For some reason when I swapped out my 250 for this 283, I took the straight arm and gave it a curve for the 2bbl. Swapped out to the 4G and it just don’t work quite right. Thanks, great pict!

On another note, Frank, what have you done with crankcase ventilation on this truck? It looks like a 2 vacuum lines, one carb and one manifold on the back there. Does the carb tie to the blow by fitting at the back by the distributor which usually just had the pipe which blew straight down to the road? Does the other tie into an air cleaner or valve cover? Is there PCV somewhere in there? I don’t have either of the latter (air cleaner/valve cover tie in), but within my manifold it had the can breather and my oil fill is vented....
