mine has a 305 with a sum 1103 cam 601 casting heads with 1.92/1.50 valves, headers, rpm intake, 4bbl holley now ditched the edel. the motor was free the head work was 100 the cam was 100 and all the other came off the 350 i blew. i cant really tell a loss in power. it actually is stronger than the 350. and the best bonus is that it gets about 22-26mpgs! most builders hate the 305 and ill drive one all day long.

I have the big block. But mine is a commercial block from what I've read. We got it in a deal where both us and the owner didnt know exactly WHICH block it was, just knew it was a big block. After we bought it we ran the numbers and found out it is a 366ci. Mostly found in school buses and dump trucks. It's hard finding info on them, but from what I've found out they are all low end TQ and have the same stroke of a 427 just a different bore.

We see a lot of those 'truck' blocks around here from old school buses. I bet they'd be great for a 4x4. Your best bet would be to replace that Victor intake with something more sutible, they are better for higher RPM horsepower and not so good for low RPM torque. I would think your 366 is suffering some with that Victor, it has so much more potential.

Lookin' good Shawn. I went to visit a "new" exhaust man today. When I get the dough, I'm going to have the exhaust that the local guy (who was SUPPOSED TO BE great) butchered a couple of months ago. This time, re-done by someone who does it correctly.

I may move the pipes outward a taste. The close pipes are how I got it back from the local yahoo. The other is photoshopped outward. This time, I'll probably put 'em (with different tips) somewhere a little inward and an inch or so shorter from where they sit on the photoshopped pic.

Thank you Bill, if you look in my build thread you can see how I routed my exhaust.

11.4:1 383 stroker with 700R4 and 3.55 diff yields 18-21 mpg, the old 350 got 12mpg with the same trans and 4.11 gears
