Other uses for choke hole in bezel?

I no longer need a choke but I am left with the hole in my instrument cluster bezel. Rather than plug it with a choke delete, I would like to actually use the hole for something. Maybe some sort of switch, light, volume knob for my amps, or whatever.

Looking for some creative ideas, what have you guys done with this empty hole?

I've installed the billet knobs on my switches - and rather than leave the choke hole open, I took another Headlight switch and installed it there, purely for looks..... I'll see if I have a pic...

Thanks Ned, if I don't come up with something, I will probably put the choke knob back in. I would like to put some kind of engine disable switch connected to the choke knob or something.

I've always liked the idea of the ignition switch there. Just have to figure out how to mount it.

My dash has a GM blocker plug for that hole in dash, I like the look if you can find one

A cigarette lighter for charging stuff or a radar detector?

I was thinking if I had a 67-68 with a LS is to feed the ground for the fuel pump relay through a wiper switch in the choke opening or manual on for the the cooling fans. Hmmmm the possibilities :metal:

Well, not "choke hole"... how about cigarette lighter hole?

I put a USB connection for phone/Ipod in mine. Complete with little black plastic cover.

You could do the same, or a light, or??? (If you can enlarge the picture, you can see it here...)

Just be creative.

Best of luck!

Wiper switch to control whatever your needs are or just a dummy

I have an extra hole and I plan on putting in a kill switch. A wiper switch would be great for that.....hiding in plain sight.

If it was mine, I'd add a very bright red temperature warning light. With the gauge only, I have missed two very bad overheating events in the last couple of months that almost cost me big. So I'm looking at a place for the lamp and a way to set it up.

Yep, wiper switch as an anti-theft
