How about some pics of 4WD 88-98 Trucks

I'm noticing a lot of lowered 2wd trucks (which are cool!) but I have a 4x4 and would love to see more pics of them! :metal:

not sure on yoru plans for the chrome stuff, but I like it, nice to see someone who likes chrome. I got the same fender trim and was going to do the handles and step bars, not sure on the handles, but had considered the vent visors too. I also have the rocker trim on mine though.

speaking of mine...

very nice dannyk, got an air cleaner like that on my 88, different nut though, got that nut on dad's 84, got the same breather cap though.

Them chrome valve covers?

What base is that flat or raised? I had to use the summit 3/4 raised base to clear and work on my 88.

Thanks Benoit. Its a slight drop base and I tried a spacer, but went back to the stock 1'' spacer with EGR fitting (connected the the driver side valve cover) cuz it was blowing too much smoke under the hood). I might go back to the PCV valve on the passenger side too, for proper circulation ? I'm hoping FedEx brings my headers today. And the valve covers aren't chrome....yet ! :)

Re: How about some pics of 4WD 88-98 Trucks

I hear ya. Yea that's the fresh air tube for the air cleaner/pcv system. The pcv sucks out into the front of the tbi and that tube allows filtered air to enter the valve cover thru the tube. Mines removed, and I just bought a breather cap to run in my valve covers when I switch to the chrome ones. I plan to leave my pcv in though and use the breather to filter the air coming into the motor.

Ok, I'll play.
Paint is falling off, nary a straight body panel, and I've got way more invested in it than it's worth just keeping in running. But when I need a real truck it's un-replaceable.. :)

180K all abusive miles, it's towed 16k lbs, hauls 3200lbs of water every week, rescued stuck vehicles, and was DD until diesel hit $4.00 a gallon.
6.5L, mechanical pump, GM8 turbo with Heath wastegate control, Heath x-over, downpipe and exhaust, Bosch marine injectors, H20-Meth spray, and an AM radio! ;)
