Request for shipping help from a UK member

I am trying to buy a part from Evolution for my mitre saw. The part is available in the UK, but not from their North American sites. I have called and emailed them several times now, but they appear totally disinterested in selling to me and shipping to <gasp> Canada. I am wondering if I could have the order shipped to a fine board member in the UK, and then have the part shipped onwards to me in Canada. I could paypal the cost of shipping. The part in question is a front clamp, so is fairly small and likely weighs less than a pound. If anyone wants to help me out, please PM me, it would be much appreciated :)

Hi there I know the type of saw you are talking about. I’ll have a look to see if I can find the part you need, regards from the uk Dave

If they ship to the U.S., I am willing and just fine shipping to Canada

Thanks guys. I have been waiting for a resolution before posting again. Customer service did eventually step up. The front clamps are available in North America, just not online. But if you can decipher the model number and spare parts diagrams, you can call them and order over the telephone. Not exactly user friendly, but once the ball got rolling, customer service was pleasant and helpful. Have not actually ordered the part yet due to American thanksgiving today, but appears I won't need assistance :)

The saw seems good so far, but to cut metal with the included clamps, it has to be shaped approximately like a wood 2x4. The front clamps should improve usability. I built an outdoor wooden stair railing and have cut down a brake pedal for the truck. The included multi-purpose blade really does do a good job of both.

Thanks again!
