1994 factory cd player
 

has anyone ever seen one of these. I got it off a co worker. he said it worked. came out of his old truck. which was a 1994 full size blazer. I though he was giving me an aftermarket single din cd player but I got this instead. he said it mounts under the dash in the center of the truck. he gave me all the plugs and hardware. it just plugs inline with the factory radio from what he told me.
what are the worth as it will not fit any of my trucks.

I don't know, but that's cool. I don't think these were offered in '92 trucks. If they were I somehow missed it when I ordered my truck. This factory stuff doesn't go for a whole lot at this point. But that is a pretty rare piece, I think, so probably worth a bit. I wish I had the earlier interior, I'd make an offer.

If I had a 92 94 truck I would look for 1. That is cool. Any Pictures of this in the dash. Does it go where the equalizer would go?

no pictures. my co worker said it mounts under the dash in the center. has brackets and mounting hardware. it does not go where the equalizer goes. that I know of.

The ones I have seen mount in the same area as the factory cassette tape player, just below the center AC vents.

I think his truck may have had a cassette player too. I will have to ask. the mounting bracket has the same mounting holes my cup holder in my 89 had. I will have to see my uncle has a 94 burb up his garage maybe in can install it to check it out and get pics.

That is very possible. I have never seem one with both, just one or the other.

oh do you have any pics of one with the cd player only. I would like to see. i think this is very rare from what I have researched. can't find any on the web anywhere. still would like to know what they are worth.

My buddy does the evilbay thing, and grabs the cup holders that bolt on the bottom of the dash, I've never heard him say he got one, and I've have many of these trucks, and always look at these trucks in yard, and never seen or heard of one. I thought it would be where the EQ or tape deck would go.

yea I know first one I have seen. thought of putting it on ebay for a ridicules price to see if anyone would bite.

It looks like an accessory/option out of a car...Buick/Olds/Pontiac of that era perhaps? I just finished reading through the 1994 Chevy truck ordering guide and there was no mention of a CD player. GM Heritage Center has the Vehicle Information Kits hosted on .pdf.

yes someone over on the gmt400 site found that the cd player crosses to a Pontiac but it was a dealer add on option from what I found out. my uncle had one back in the day. I vaguely remember the truck he had. it was from what I can find out a super rare option.
