CHEVROLET script emblem

Anyone know what car/truck came with a CHEVROLET script emblem that measures no higher than 1 1/2" high?
I have an idea for my '63 that I want to try and it involves a CHEVROLET script 1 1/2" or less in height.

I've used a couple of pairs of the rear trunk script emblem from a '65 Impala on a friend and customer's trucks...I installed them in between the two side moldings on the bed side at the rear edge. The '65 Impala rear trunk script emblem is 1.5 inches tall at the top of the "h", "l", and "t", and 11 inches long. I hope that helps.

Jonz is right, look for a 57 chevrolet 6 cylinder hood script. I might even have one, I shaved it long time ago.....

That is what I would like to do with them also.
Do you have a picture of them?
There are several different styles of script the GM has used over the years. Getting the size is critical, then choosing the style comes next.

Here's a link to Classic's parts site. I didn't realize how expensive the new ones are now. But, here is the emblem. This script is more consistent with the font style of the '60s. I have an extra OE one in my shop with all of the posts and speed nuts just in case you only find one.

Thanks. That is a lot more than I was hoping to spend on them.

you can find used ones from time to time on eBay. They are often mis-catagorized, so you'll have to do more of a manual search.

Here's a link to Danchuk - 55-57 company, prices a good bit less expensive, available in silver or gold (bel air trim was gold, 150/210 trim was silver). Stuff you are looking for is on pg 10 of the link - but there are also some other ideas on pgs 9, 10, and 11 (like the chev crest on 9, o rperhaps "fuel injection" script if you have it (or want people to think you do), or even "Nomad" might be a cool idea, if you considered yourself a "nomad" perhaps). I kinda dig the "Fuel Injection" script if the engine were in fact a fuelie, i.e. LS motor or something like that, otherwise, I think the silver chevrolet script looks best. Anyway, hope this helps - I like the idea too, looks great on a custom truck - especially on that awersome orange one in the link!

Well I now know the emblem I am searching for came off of a '65 Impala rear deck lid. I have one secured and need another one.
I am trying to avoid the repop route. Does anyone know who I can contact to get a good used one?
Greg.

I have the correct glovebox emblem if you look on my photobucket acct here on the link. I think I know where there is an extra glovebox emblem if your looking for one. Did you want the correct glovebox emblem or just looking for something close to put on?

Re: CHEVROLET script emblem

Those emblems are close, but the script is way off.

Here's the same thing carried inside to the glove box. I've been looking for that script. Thanks to everyone, as always, for the valuable information.

Additionally, if anyone has any idea who crafted the lower dash section that houses the a/c vent, I'd love to know that. It looks so good that it looks factory.

Yeah. I took this picture originally at the Super Chevy show in atlanta a few years ago. I talked to the owner and the body man fabricated it for him as a freebee for him. It looked awesome.
