Arnold was bought fresh of the farm February 2013 , projects do take time but wow. Arnold had 4 different planning stages but nothing but time and used as a scrap metal storeage.
So January 2020 is the year that Arnold gets a new life and a 1-1/2 hour bath to remove all the farm dirt / manure. The Plans Drivetrain - 4wd conversion using Dana 60 front / Dana 70HD 4:10 gears - 4" to 6" lift , have both with Firestone Ride-Rite air bags - Divorced Np205 - 225/70R19.5 Hercules H-803 open shoulder or the 245/70R19.5 will be mounted on white 19.5 steel wheels -5 spd Nv4500 Gm short 35 spline fixed yoke 1410 -Not sure what engine, still thinking. Interior - New seat cover - Dash pad - Steering wheel - Carpet or mat. - Clean the rust up drivers side door edge & panel - Windshield Exterior - The truck was painted black during Mid 80's which I didn't like , I will be trying to remove the black paint to get back to the factory green. The Spid is missing so other than the Vin not much to go off . - Cab marker lights The bed you will have to wait for. Thanks |

Had a heck of a time removing the front bumper being bent and 2 bumper bolts spinning ,ended up welding them to the bumper and snapped the bolts off. The front was clip over the weekend which was easy ,all the bolts were not rusted or frozen. Pull outside and washed again to see no rust to speak of. The paint on the cab is nice and shiny.

Re: Let's meet Arnold 1970 C/30 157" WB
I would like to talk about the interior & exterior paint colors .When I bought this back in 2013 I was talking to SS Tim about this color which from being dirty and the black repaint it was hard to tell what was there. Now we can see the paint, 69-70 had 5 different green paint codes and I would like to see if we can find what are. If anybody has a thought on this let's go over.
Thanks |

Looks like it was a Medium green truck from the pictures. Did the truck have a SPID on the inside of the glove box? If so maybe we can figure it out from there.
