So, does Orange Crush get to go on the Power tour?

HOLY CRAP!! I really thought you died or something! You just put a big smile on my face!

Too bad I didn't run into you in Austin. Nice score on the job!

I'm glad to see an update! Your build was a huge inspiration to me back in my high school days when I had my '67. I followed this thread religiously. Congrats on the new job. You made a good call by not selling it, IMO. I sold mine five years ago and still miss it to this day.

this is a cool truck! did you end up putting the 200r4 and 12 bolt in it before driving it to your new job? or just did what you absolutely had to, and got it there?

Trying on American Racing AR172s, 17x8 with 255/60 up front and 275/55 in rear.

Re: 1969 Chevy CST/10 comes home [Long-term project "OrangeCrush"]

I'm usually not a fan of large wheels (not that 17's are that large anymore) on these trucks, but those look pretty good. The biggest thing i'd be interested in would be handling improvements. Do they feel any better?

I wanted to run 16s, but there's very few wide 28-29in tires, most sizes are stuck around standard passenger car sizes.

But also allows an upgrade later for GMT900 brakes that I might try from CPP.

Re: 1969 Chevy CST/10 comes home [Long-term project "OrangeCrush"]

Yeah 16s are pretty much a dead size now I think. GMT900 brakes would be sweet! :metal:

Also I just noticed the tires are General Grabber UHPs. How do you like them? I have Grabber AT2s on my jeep and they are dangerously slick on dry pavement.
