Re: PROJECT: 1950 Chevy 3/4T 4x4... new member
UPDATE.... Still none! They are suppose to be going getting back on it a little this weekend. I have somehow managed to patiently wait. I know when it's finished they will make it worth the wait. I'm use to starting a project and finishing it within 2-3 months no matter the size!
I told them I'd love to have it done by Christmas... we will see ;-/ |

Still impatiently waiting. If I would've know it'd take them so long I would've tried spraying it myself. I know the painter will take good care of me is the only reason for waiting.

Good luck man. I (retardedly) took my truck to paint jail too thinking I would get ahead a little by having them do it. Nope, not so far. :(

Well they are finally making progress. The doors are cut in, everything is wet sanded and the plan is to paint the interior this week. In the mean time I went up there and cleaned up the core support area and put on a huge derale trans cooler with -8 AN lines.

Nice to hear the progress and sweet cooler! Where'd you get that? I'm going to start looking for one for the 76.

Re: PROJECT: 1950 Chevy 3/4T 4x4... new member
Thank you Ryan! I got it from Jegs for like $170 if I remember correctly. The fittings in the trans (th350) are 1/4" male to -8 male and the cooler came with -8 male. I got the 1/2" hose, fittings and sheath from Tompkins. The hose/fittings is called field service which allows you to cut to length then slide over the barbed fittings. I will see if I have a pic of the lines.

What a treasure you have here. Really can appreciate all the work and the great progress pics you are providing. Got to love the before and after interior shots too. The paint work and colour choice is fantastic, keep up the good work.

Re: PROJECT: 1950 Chevy 3/4T 4x4... new member
Thank you guys! The pics really do not give the color justice. The pearl has a crazy effect on it in different lighting.

Re: PROJECT: 1950 Chevy 3/4T 4x4... new member
Thank you guys! I just asked the painter if he could please try to finish it in 2 weeks. I'm not sure I got a confident answer but I at least wanted to set the 6th finish date LOL.
