got my chassis totaly apart yesterday. I hope to have this powdercoated within the next month. the front end is already coated so it will just be the frame, diff and some other small odds and ends and then i can reasemble!

It is a shame to have to sand blast that frame again to power coat. Power coating needs bare metal to stick. If their is something I don't know please enlighten me please. anyway good luck.

Member "LOC DOC" remade an original gm extinguisher tag for me and did an excellent job. He is the man to talk to if ou need a obsolete tag or decal made.

had the white roof photoshoped in on a pic i found to get an idea what it would look like. only thing different would be the grill, mine being a gmc, and fender emblems. everything else would be the same down to the interior color for my build. what do you guys think? would like some opinions as i am kind of torn between the two.

On light colors I like the white top but on a dark color I like the solid color.

after looking through your build thread i am really motivated to go with the white roof. you should post a good pic of your truck for me with your full wheel covers.

Nice work! I am subscribed. I would leave the added options off the SPID but thats just my opinion. That way, you still keep the originality and yet have the added goodies to enjoy.

While i was assembling more of my chassis today i decided to get some paint matched and paint my NOS spiral shocks. The paint wasn't all that bad but shelf worn. I masked the decals too instead of removing them so they would look like a factory fresh install.

Got a set of dodge passenger buddy seat sliders from a member and added them to my buddy frame. They are the exact same sliders gm used on their buddiy seats. just need to get a gm handle for the other side so they look the same. I hope to get my seat covers at the end of january so i can finish up my seats.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build

What year of dodge had those sliders? Is it a car or a truck?

Re: 67 GMC super custom build

I think dodge had optional passenger seat sliders on their truck buckets. I bought them from ledzepp so maby contact him for more info as I am not 100% sure. Will sure make jack accesability much easier.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build

Yeah I love how the jack is out of the way on the floor but it's really not very practical... Do you think the factory bench seats make it easier?

Re: 67 GMC super custom build

Bench would be easiest for the jack but the tools under the seat in 67 suck for either seat.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build

Is that the orignal color on the spiral shocks? Or is that your color theme you are going with.
