I do too actually as I don't think they really take away from the overall look of the truck. I think I still prefer the no marker '67, but I like the markers enough that I wouldn't go through the hassle of removing them.

I wonder how many small window vs regular window units were built in 67? ... and was it like a mid model safety regulation update or why the change?

I'm not sure about the numbers, but the big back window was an option for the '67 model year, and the only rear window available from '68 on. In one interview with Harry Bentley Bradley (found here) who was the head designer of the '67, he talks about how he pushed for the small back window because it gave the truck a custom look. I'm not really sure why they stopped making it in '68, but Bradley moved on to Cadillac soon after the '67 came out so maybe GM was trying to cut costs and only offer what they thought was the better rear window which was the optional only (up to that point) "panoramic" rear glass.

I don't have a problem w/ the side markers and they come from federal requirements. I imagine the big windows are also a fed req. for visibility.

My preference is those that take a bulb. lens or not, I'd take either one of these. Blue all day 67-68, IMO. The front end is beautiful.

I like this them with and without. Would be nice if they sat flush, like the firebird lights. Considered that change for mine. But probably won't.

Makes no difference to me. I like them all. The only thing that bothers me is high prices and rust.

Hey Paul, what's up with you reading my mind and posting exactly what I was going to say...word for word? Thanks for saving me all the effort. But wait, I just typed more than if I had posted my thoughts myself. Thanks a lot for nothing!

I like using the van side markers, they are smooth and flush.

I like 'em too. I'll even confess to Hot Rod Truck Heresy, and say I prefer the Standard Marker light lens to the ''Deluxe'' because it has a much larger reflective And illuminated surface area. Just looks better at night to me.
I backed my belief by changing out the skimpy Deluxe marker lights for bright, visable, Standard markers on my '71 GMC Jimmy, even though it was a Custom trim level, for the above reasons. The old so-called deluxe markers, I relegated to my longbed Fleetside half-truck trailer, because I was too cheap to buy new lenses on a trash-run trailer.
Also, now the Jimmy matches the clean look of my '68 Chevy C/10 Stepside.

Man, I figure if the markers in a '68 vs none on a '67 makes that much difference to you, you must own 25 pairs of shoes and I apologize for called you "man"
