Lt1 swap 1966 c10, Coolant Boiling in Recovery Tank.
 
What's up fellas.. I did a Lt1 Swap in my 66 c10 and its Boiling water in the Recovery tank.. i have searched for hose routing on the forum and net.. I do Believe I got the hose routing Wrong going to the recovery tank... any Help would be Greatly appreciated..
The Donor car was a 1995 Buick Roadmaster my car for 8 years, No problems overheating or any other issues... Thanks

I don’t know if the LT1’s are like the Vortec engines but if those have a pocket of air in the cooling system it will do exactly what your experiencing.

I don't know about Roadmasters but Camaros had bleed screws on the thermostat housing

Are you sure it's really boiling? Or is it just bubbling air into the overflow tank?

Also, the Roadmaster LT1 has that air bleeder also.

Just got in from my Hitch this Weekend, Yes it Boiling and Reservoir tank vibrating like a Horror Movie.. I know How to bleed the Air out the system.. Well my Roadmaster sit for about 9 months before I did the Swap, So this Weekend I noticed alot of build up in the recovery tank..
So I flushed the Coolant System with dishwasher soap Cascade (Yes It Worked Great). And as for my Heater Core Hoses I extended them out closer to the firewall and on the return line tied in the Recovery Tank... Fresh Antifreeze and bottle Water.. She's Running Cool Again..

Waiting on My Lt4 vette Starter to come in.. so it can start up more than one time..... lol
