Hi... I will take a set.

I went through all posts and did not see if anyone had any issues with pushing the seat all the way back after installation. Any issues with this? As a tall guy, I need every centimeter I can get!

Seat goes all the way back, no problem. I sent you a PM.

Bought a set from you but I didn't read the fine print as I have 3 point retractors directly in the way. Great quality product from what I can see and fast shipping. Eventually I will see if I can modify them for my application. Thanks Jeff

Question: How do I go about getting a screwdriver to the outside screw on these bad boys? I got a set in, installed them (I love them)... but I only used one interior side screw on the bottom, and the top screw. For the life of me, I can't see how I can get a screw bit at the right angle to put a hole for the outer mount. This is on an 86' C-10.

I got a pair of JL Audio C2 6x9's in, once I removed the rubber magnet cover from the speaker.

I love the clearance that these give you from the belts, and that they are solid as an bull ox. :metal:

blind bug how do those JL's sound? Are you running an amp and what head unit are you running?

They sound pretty solid considering I am running them off the head unit, which is a cheap JVC that came with the truck when I bought it. In another life I did car audio as a passion, even had sponsorships from MA Audio, and a handful of mom and pop install and custom fab locations. I’ve got a Zapco c2k 6.0x and an idmax 12 v.3 sitting in my garage collecting dust.

I say that to say this: the performance of speakers in these brackets is far and above better than the performance I got out of a sealed enclosure behind the seat. This is an infinite baffle setup, and while I lose bass, the overall loudness and clarity of the speakers is much better based on mounting location and no flex from the mount. Best case scenario would be to fab in some fiberglass enclosures behind these brackets to make it a sealed enclosure. But, if you are ok with that, you might as well create the full enclosure yourself. I thought about it, but ultimately didn’t think the work was worth it over these brackets.

I still need to add in some front stage speakers, and would like to add in a sub. JL Audio TW3 10” only takes like 3” of backspace to mount so a tight wedge behind the seat would mean I can take the seat all the way back and still have a little thump. Add in a JL Audio XD or HD under the seat in a 1000w x 5 setup and its going to be a killer setup. Ultimately the c10 isn’t much for Audio dynamics, though, so I will never be able to get to there level that I appreciate in other cars that have proper stage with proper insulation and a quiet engine.

Sorry about the rant... car Audio is apparently still my passion. lol

I recently got mine installed. For now I'm just running off the Pioneer deck with 4" speakers in the dash. It sounds really good. I'll add an amp and additional speakers in the future.

Regarding the brackets:
I covered the backside with sound deadener along with the back cab wall and floor. I also had some closed cell 1" thick foam laying around that I cut and fit in behind the speakers. This was key to good sound. Speakers and metal mix like oil and water. This is a good compromise for not having enclosed cabinets.
Hope this info is useful for someone.
All those wires were tucked in and dissapeared after I put the insulation pad and floor covering back in.

I got my speaker brackets installed.
I still have the original cardboard tray and I couldn't get a screw into hold the bottom of the bracket. So I bent the bottom of the bracket down and out a bit, and hooked it on the backside of the sill.
Covered everything with speaker cloth. I stole the idea from another fella on here for using Velcro( hook and loop) to hold it up on the back wall.
