I like the exhaust comming out the side, looks like one of those bars they hang onto next to the boat for barefoot waterskiing

71 Subman,

I was just messing with Canadian694x4 as he seems to have a very large collection of 67-72 pictures. He is very good about sharing and helping people out with these pictures. Anyway, if he likes the picture he will right mouse click on it and save it. That's all, just messing with him.

Here's my $200.00 project..... It's a 71 C10. I also have a 71' C20 sub that I bought as a parts truck(very rusty) but it's a matching #'s BB,T400,A/C truck. I plan on changing the front clip to a 68, and puttin the truck on air. I also am putting in a 454 instead of the 402.

Anybody local to Southern NJ have any extra sub parts for sale or trade??? Need a nice 3rd door BAD(mines rust free but caved in from top to bottom):banghead:

smokekiki 01-23-2004 10:03 AM

Welcome to the board. Can't help with a door.I am in south Jersey a couple weekends a month. We have close friends in Rio Grande. They are in thier 80's,so my wife and I go down to help them out.On rt47 right below Dennisville there is a suburban sitting in a small development on the right.

bagged91 01-23-2004 04:33 PM

Cool, Thanks! I know exactly where Dennisville is, I got pulled over railin' my 91 through there comin' home from Wildwood....

I see you're from W.Chester. I'lle be there tommorrow! I drive a truck for a living & I deliver to the Iron Hill Brewery, N.Y. Sandwich & Ryan's Pub on Gay St. Also to the Marshallton Inn/4 Dogs Tavern.... Maybe I'lle see ya 'round sometime....:metal:

These are all cool pictures!!!

I was hoping that someone could post a picture of one of the 67-68 burbs, with the white roof, moreso, need a pict of the back end when the white paint comes down and stops. this is on a tailgate burb. We are getting ready to paint one, and want to make sure of the back. Thanks!!!

smokekiki 02-05-2004 03:54 PM

I don't have a pic,but all the ones I have seen, and pics in the brochure, have the white stopping at the body line below the windows. This would put the line just above the handle on the rear lift gate..All the ones I have seen with this paint have also had trim running along this body line starting at the front edge of the front doors.Ones without the trim ended at the body seam at the top of the rear pillars.

I am the 3rd owner of the sub. It is from phoenix, az and was kept up very nicely. I found this sub on ebay actually.

I am selling the other set of wheels that were on it. If interested youcan pm or email me for more info. They are actually sitting in the back of the burb still.

More cool pictures!! Thanks... Now my next question, it seems that the suburbans that are 1969-1972, that have a white top, also have metal trim from driver door, around the back, up to the pass door. Did that start in 69, or has anyong seem this trim on the 67 and 68 as well??? Also, how is that trim held on?

Suburban questions

Hi John
I recently purchased a suburban and like you had alot of questions that I was curious about. If you contact "Ricks Pickup Parts" You can purchase an assembly manual for 25 dollars. It shows exploded views and most all the info you will need for your Suburban. Also alot of the best deals you can find anywhere just for being a member of this site.ask about them when you call. Good Luck on your truck!By the way. Those chrome strips are held on with clips and I have never seen them on a 67-68

My project

This is my project i've had for about a year. Right now I'm tearing it down for an engine, suspension, and chassis rebuild. I will be bagging it while it's down as well as shaving the firewall and refinishing. I have already installed Avalanche taillights and PT Cruiser door handles. I've got the new quarter patches on the way. My plan is to have the new motor in/dresses ot in billet, firewall shaved and painted, airbags installed, and body in-primer for Showfest '04 in Greenville, MS May 14-16. Wish me luck. My pics are too big to post so to see it please go to http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/489596

Change in plans for my project

I had planned to paint my suburban House of Kolor Royal blue flake w/ lime green flames, but now I have decided I want a real clean streetrod look so I'm going to paint it '98 Volvo Saffron Metallic. Please check out my cardomain page and tell me what u think. I would post pics on here but they are all too big.
