How many 1968 K10 LWB fleetsides were built?

1 Attachment(s)
I have a 1968 K10 LWB fleetside.
I looked online for production numbers and under my model number it says there were none produced.
Mine is a KE10934, does anyone else out there have one?
How would I find actual production numbers?

Thanks.

Keith.

Thanks.

Where did you get that info?
All the sources I found show nothing for 1968 K10 LWB fleet side.

I think you're reading the weight not the production number.

Well now, that's interesting... there's a - where the production total should be...

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=104816

It was +/-2700 for 67 and +/-4,900 4x4s for 69, so probably somewhere in the middle, that must be a typo or the info was lost.

I don't think people realize how few of these trucks were sold as 4wd, even the longbeds, except for blazers, they were almost all 4wd with very very few 2wd models.

You are looking at 1/2 ton number. 3/4 ton had 4705

It is a 1/2 ton according to the VIN, and there's a "-" under production number for 127" fleetsides.

Of course your vin indicates 1/2 ton.. so what you have is a mystery indeed

There's no way GM didn't "make them" as this truck is proof. They must have lost the data. Based on my post above for 67 and 69 #'s, it's still a low #, likely around 3,000-3,500.

Keithq68 03-20-2017 11:35 PM

Exactly, they obviously made them because I have one.
I just haven't even able to find one that wasn't a K20 so I figured I would go on here and see who else has one.
The simplest explanation is that the information was lost along the way, it has been 49 years.
