Low Back Bucket ???

Ok I am sure this is not the place to really post this but I scored some low back bucket seats today for FREE. They are not in the greatest of shape but how can I say no to FREE right. I am planning on using them in my truck but thought maybe my question would be a good idea first.

My Question is does anyone know what these are out of. I have done some searching but some times that dont help. Any Help would be appreciated thanks.

These look like they come out of a Chrysler product of some sort. The sewing patterns and the design of the seat's hinge on the bottom cusion to the back cusion remind me of my Plymouth a little. I would guess that these are a little newer than mine vintage-wise. These also remind me of a Mopar seat Especially by the description of the mounting bracket being flat with screws coming straight out.

Definitely 2dr car since they have the release button. I think that started in '68 but not positive.

I can't identifiy the pattern on the covers, but those frames look very much like the mid 1960's GM cars. Probably the "A" body cars. (Chevelle, Skylark, GTO, 442). Might be better to sell them and find a better choice for your truck.

Hey jlmerie Thanks, I sure was thinking the same A Body car from a GM Product but still no luck and yeah If I can Identify them better then I just may sell them.

Re: Low Back Bucket ???

A-body GM cars all use the Strato-bucket. It had fancier trim on the side and back.

I've done a little looking, and cannot seem to come up with anything that has upholstery lines that curve over the front of the seat.

This thread is pretty old, but I am curious if you were able to determine what these came out of? They are 68-69 and I would guess GM but the stitching is odd.

I like those in the last pic with the new covers on them.

I thought about using some similar to that with some 88-98 truck bucket seat brackets and a 88-98 console.
