Looking for a cool gas cap
 

I'm finding some, but not for chevy trucks. Are our caps the same as Camaros? For example, will a cap for a 67 Camaro work on my 67 C10?

I have a vent for the tank already, so the cap can be vented or not and still work. I do want it to lock.

Any cool ones may know about, I'm open to suggestions :)

I snatch every painted gas cap I find in the jy's.

I just think they look better and since I'm not much of a bling bling chrome person I like them too be white too match the other white stuff.

The top one had some contamination on it before paint and didn't come out too good.

It'll get done again when this truck comes back apart.

The bottom one came out great but i dropped it at the gas station and slightly dented it but no chip....I can live with it.

You can tell the early white and later white colors....I dig the early white more.

Just be sure too know if you need a vented cap or not before buying one.

I'm really looking for a chrome lockable with a chevron or something going on..

These two I'm showing were painted, I've only found them either body color or white.

I went with this one but it is pretty fiddly and having used it a couple of times the cheapness is starting to show. But I still like the look. Oh and it would be nice if the GM was right side up when installed.

Not upside down but tilted forward about 70 degrees. It is possible that it is oriented better on a pickup than a Suburban. But I thought it worth mentioning.

On that gm cap you can take it apart and file it so it will turn far enough to be straight. I did mine and it looks better but the cap leaks through the vent so I'll be trying something else

Too bad, I would have got it.

Anyone know if a 67 Camaro cap would fit?

Pretty sure the diameter of most early GM tanks are the same. The difference is vented or non-vented.

Here's my polished original, but more important, my "part way through the process" picture. It shows it with the cap "turned" on a bed of sandpaper, for a weird looking billet look.

Thought I'd pass it along as a cheap but different look you can achieve with a factory cap if you have a spare!

I have a separate vent, so I could get either cap. Prefer unvented.
