Rear upper bracket

Snapped one and will be replacing both. Does it matter which of the two holes in the upper bracket I use to install the new studs? Leaf spring standard height and using plain old Monroe gas shocks for replacements.

I would use the hole that keeps the shock as upright as possible. The more it lays over, the less effective a shock is at its job.

i'm with scoti. Move the studs to the rear hole and the shock should work "better." If I would have kept the leaf spring rear in my truck I had planned to move the stud to the rear hole anyway.

How did it work out for you? Did you use the rear hole of the bracket for your shock stud? I have leaf spring rear also and was wondering about the rear location to mount the shocks, if it will work.

Sorry about late reply----I just ended up drilling out broken stud and putting new stud in same place.
