02 Yukon Oil Change?

Does the dummy light telling me to change my oil come on because it senses the breakdown in the oil? or because of Milage like most of the others?

I believe it is just a mileage timer.

The computer actually computes the oil breakdown based on engine RPMs and heat and will tell you when to change it based on this data.
